On this tour, our guide will take you on a carefully designed walking route around the old town to discover all of the highlights and the stories behind them, with an exclusive entrance to visit the Royal reception rooms of the Christiansborg Palace, which served as a royal residence during the medieval age and, after democracy came to Denmark in 1849, became the home of the Danish parliament.
Starting from the Absalon Statue, the founder of Copenhagen, we will walk toward the pedestrian street to the Round Tower, the Royal Gardens, and a view of Rosenborg Castle and its majestic garden.
Arriving at Amalienborg Palace, the official residence of the Danish Royal Family, an elegant complex under the watchful eyes of the royal guard. From there, you will see the beautiful Marble Church, the King’s New Square where the Royal Theatre, the elegant D’Angleterre Hotel, and the French embassy are located right next to the colorful canal of Nyhavn.
From there, you will walk along the waterfront past the imposing Playhouse and the modern Opera House, two of the newest landmarks on the Copenhagen harbor, to enter the Christiansborg Palace without waiting in line.
Inside, you will visit the Ballroom with tapestries, the Alexandre Room, the Green Room, the Throne Room, and a royal private library to conclude our tour.
